a familiar face on the Manchester scene, GETNER seriously made their mark already, with a bunch of incredible tunes under their belt, a fantastic live performance that’s sure to get everyone fired up, and having done a bunch of sold-out headlines, they’re an essential band to get to know here in the North West ๐Ÿ’ฅ

this new tune “Natives” sounds incredible, opening up with a delicate soundscape, drawing the listener in to listen, and it opens up almost immediately into an energetic, riff-infused atmosphere that’s got a proper groove behind it. Quentin’s vocal takes centre stage and addresses the listener, ensuring their attention – and his lyricism is direct and poetic, really painting a picture with the songwriting. the track flows so effortlessly, there’s a proper dynamic behind it and it goes through so many different melodies and grooves, yet maintains a real connection between them, proving the band’s musical ability and ensuring the attention of anyone who listens to it ๐Ÿ‘Š

the Grimsby-based alternative rock outfit have been making waves since 2022, and they’ve become known for hard-hitting shows around the East Yorkshire area and beyond, having performed a bunch – plus, their previous singles were given a fantastic reception by radio, blogs and their fans ๐ŸŽถ

this new single “London Town” sounds fantastic, and it’s got the familiar energy of their previous tracks, with gorgeous atmospheric sounds paving the soundscape, anthemic singalong choruses and down-to-earth, relatable lyricism that has seen them connect to people effortlessly through their music. there’s a real driving rhythm behind the track, and you can really hear the chemistry within the band, each member an expert at their craft, coming together to create something truly special. it’s a fantastic listen, proving them as ones to watch for 2025! ๐Ÿ™Œ

we’ve known Tallulah for a good long time now, having not only reviewed their tunes before, but caught them live and also put them on a bunch of gigs – their ability to write with such ferocity and emotion really sets them apart from the rest! ๐Ÿ™Œ

this new EP is fully evident of their musical capabilities, with four tracks that not only convey their feelings and experiences, but written in expert prose! full of singalong choruses, raw and personal lyricism, driving and fierce rhythm backing them along with quality production – it’s a fantastic EP and a must-listen for any fans of alternative / indie tunes ๐ŸŽถ this video is from Saturday at their EP launch and truly shows how great their music is. ๐Ÿค

The Wrap: April 2025 ๐ŸŒฎ

we’re back with our next edition of The Wrap feature! ๐Ÿค

we’ve got reviews of some of our favourite releases of April, and it’s been another fantastic month – you can find all of our reviews below โฌ‡๏ธ


Manchester’s own Creepy Crawly has just released the new single “The Tide“! a delicate and intricate ballad, both atmospheric and conversational, it’s a gorgeous tune. with passionate lyrics that paint a real picture and convey such emotion, lovely guitar melodies lacing the foreground and powerful yet delicate vocals, backed with a strong rhythm section providing the foundation, it’s an incredible listen – can’t wait for the release of the full album!


a familiar face for us, Jonny Beer has just put out “Aeroplanes“! following the release of his EP last year, he’s come back with another folk-rock anthem – albeit a more moody tone, it’s got a lovely swaying groove to it, and Jonny’s vocals cut through sharply to ensure the attention of the listener is on his expert wordcraft. his ability to convey a story is fantastic, and this tune is real evidence of his talent!


we’ve caught Kieran Arnold perform so many times now, and we’re always astounded by his ability to create a catchy yet powerful tune – and this new single “Get Away” is evident of that! it’s got a proper 90’s indie feel to it, but with his more modern storytelling and songwriting elements, and his story is portrayed in expert fashion here. with a full band behind him, it’s only elevated his talent and we’re huge fans of his music! well worth a listen!


we’ve caught FLEUR ROUGE a fair few times live now, and her ability to command a crowd’s attention is second to none – something that is evident all throughout her new EP “Wish You The Worst“! with driving basslines, expert production and no-nonsense lyricism, these tunes are quality and provide a real look into her world. she’s able to utilise great vocal melodies, catchy hooks and powerful lyricism to create something that is truly unique to her style.


we’ve had Summerhouse perform for us a bunch now, and we’re constantly in awe from their musical talent – this new single “Reverence” sounds fantastic! it’s got a gorgeous atmosphere behind it, feeling both intimate and conversational, almost like having a heart-to-heart with the raw lyrics that convey feelings and emotion expertly. the full band brings a lovely folky, country feel to the track, and really forms a real foundation to the track – it’s a fantastic listen!


we’ve been fans of Harriet Dagnall for a good while now, having caught her live so many times and she’s a real cornerstone of the Manchester folk scene, her new track “Two Doors Down” only proves her talent even further. it’s a delicate, raw track that not only feels intricate, but also opens up to a gorgeous atmosphere, with expert production behind the track, elevating her innate ability to write a song – her vocal melodies and lyrical capabilities are on full display here. it’s a brilliant tune and well worth checking out!


we covered pyncher’s first single a few months ago, and they’ve returned with this new tune “Space Rocket Simulator“! it’s got a super groove behind it, with the bass and drums working in perfect unison to create a lovely foundation, and with gorgeous guitar melodies, and commanding vocals, it not only sounds fantastic but the contrasts of the verses to the choruses really ensure their musical capabilities are on full display. they’ve managed to create something that traverses a plethora of genres, and the tune sounds incredible – we love it!


we’ve had Freddie Evans perform for us at a bunch of our open mics, and we love his raw and passionate songwriting style, and he’s just released his debut single “So Long, Sweet Summer Breeze“! compromising of two tracks, they’re both two delicate and intricate tunes, really ensuring that the live element is kept within the music, yet adding extra instrumentation and production techniques to give it that studio feel. Freddie’s vocals sound fantastic here, and he’s able to convey his story in adept fashion – it’s a lovely listen and well worth checking out!


it’s been yet another amazing month, with so many brilliant tunes being released; plus, so many that we didn’t cover – thanks to everyone who has checked this out, and we hope you enjoyed it! ๐Ÿค˜

Just The Crust 19/05/25: Tom Collins – Little Louis ๐Ÿ’ฅ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Little Louis” from Tom Collins! ๐Ÿ‘Š

the North Wales based artist has been making waves over the past few years, with a run of incredible singles out and having performed across the country – plus, supporting The Sherlocks on their current tour! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

this is his first release of 2025, and he’s come out swinging with a hard-hitting, in-your-face tune that’s reminiscent of noughties indie, but with a modern feel – his songwriting talent really ensures that you’re hanging onto every word, and the story he conveys is down-to-earth and relatable. the song has a powerful energy, with a fierce singalong chorus, a lovely driving rhythm behind it and feeling fresh throughout the whole tune. a great listen and definitely one to watch for the future! ๐Ÿค

we loved her previous single “Don’t You Mind“, having reviewed it when it came out in November of last year, and she’s had an incredible run of gigs since then – we were stoked for this new single! โ˜€๏ธ

“Remembering” takes influence from a variety of genres, including soul, r&b, 60’s and even 70’s rock – it’s a gorgeous tune, and she’s blended all of these genres expertly to create something she can truly call her own style. there’s so much atmosphere present within the track, with a range of instruments all working in perfect unison to form the basis, and Naomi’s vocal takes centre-stage with it’s power, commanding the listener’s attention, yet with raw and personal lyricism that truly conveys her emotions in a poetic manner. it’s a fantastic listen and a great first track of 2025 for her – we can’t wait for even more! ๐ŸŽถ

the Bolton-based indie/rock outfit have taken this year by storm, having performed across the North West at various venues, and releasing two singles that have done superbly, they’ve really cemented their position as ones to watch on the upcoming scene. ๐Ÿ‘Š

this new single sounds fantastic, it’s a lovely contrast to their previous track, taking a more acoustic and moody approach to the tune – opening with a dark and atmospheric sound, feeling up close and personal with the band, really bringing you into the mellow feel of the song. it opens up with more production, bringing in a melodic piano to back the acoustic guitar, and flowing effortlessly to the final chorus of the song. ๐ŸŽง

Just The Crust 28/04/25: Vienna – Sleep Fighter II ๐Ÿ’ฅ

the Birmingham-based emo outfit have been taking the scene by storm recently, having a strong discography under their belt already and performing across England at various prestigious venues! ๐Ÿ‘Š we reviewed their previous single last year and couldn’t wait to hear this!

this new EP sounds fantastic, chock-full of luscious guitar riffs, energetic and powerful rhythm and fierce and commanding vocals from the lead singer, really showing their desire to make music for themselves. there’s a real 2000’s throwback mixed into the tunes, along with other inspirations that ensure Vienna are ones to watch on the upcoming scene! the tracks are energetic and exciting, yet at the same time intimate and well-crafted – it’s a fantastic listen and one to check out for any fans of emo / punk music! ๐ŸŽถ
