this new single is full proof of their musical talent, full of gorgeous harmonies, lovely guitar riffs throughout the track and they’re able to tell a real story within their lyrics – all whilst being a catchy, feel-good track! it’s got a lovely flow to it, with the drums and bass providing a steady foundation for the vocals to take charge and ensure the listener is hanging onto every word. definitely one to check out! โ˜€๏ธ

we’ve had them perform for us a bunch in the past, and we were super lucky to host their EP launch event in October – it was an incredible evening of fantastic musicianship, and such well-crafted tracks. a pleasure to have seen these tracks played live ๐Ÿ˜Š

the EP sounds fantastic, it’s full of gorgeous melodies, harmonies and comes together in an incredible manner. there’s so much emotion relayed through each of the tracks, with suspense and tension, going to upbeat and flowing melodies that really show the chemistry of the band, with the cello, violin and drums all working in perfect unison to convey emotion and feeling in such an expert way. there’s a lovely flow to the EP, with each of the tracks complimenting one another superbly, that makes it one to definitely listen to from start to finish. ๐Ÿค

we’ve covered Isaac’s tunes a bunch in the past, having had him perform for us a load and he’s gone from strength to strength with every release, making a real name for himself across the UK! ๐ŸŽถ

this new single is mega, it opens up with a dark, grooving atmosphere that lends to the nature of the lyrics excellently, and his vocal takes centre stage, commanding the listener’s attention – the drop into the chorus is driving and infectious, a real wall of sound behind it enforcing the ferocity of the track. there’s an incredible use of dynamic in the tune, reinforcing the lyricism and his wordcraft is excellent in this, really relaying the feelings he experienced in the moment. a great listen and another fantastic tune under his belt! ๐Ÿค˜

the Sheffield-based emo trio have been performing a bunch over the past few months, making a real name for themselves on the scene, and putting out a run of fantastic singles in the meantime! ๐Ÿ‘Š

this EP sounds fantastic, right from the get-go it’s full of lovely guitar riffs, gorgeous melodies that compliment the vocal expertly, and hard-hitting, driving rhythm that gives the EP a real energy behind it. the lyricism is great, their ability to paint a picture effortlessly with their songwriting is second to none. there’s so much dynamic in the tracks, building expertly and utilising breakdowns and structure to really create a run of tracks that you’ll listen to over and over ๐ŸŽถ

Funeralcare have just put out their new single “Parking“! it’s got a lovely darkwave atmosphere behind it right from the get-go, but with an incredible groove behind it, with the drums and bass providing a fantastic backdrop to the track – and the vocal takes centre stage, almost droney over the instrumentation, yet with a fantastic use of melody and lyricism to craft a gorgeous soundscape. it’s a fantastic listen!


we’ve been fans of The Cutter for a while now and they’ve just put out their self-titled EP! we’ve heard a few of these tunes before, and we love the effort they put in to create a gorgeous soundscape in their music. they’ve got a real sense of identity, and they’re able to paint a picture with not only their lyricism but with the instrumentation, utilising both to create intricately-crafted tunes that will get anyone moving about!


Will Walton just dropped their new single “natural ecosystems” – opens up with a real driving rhythm, setting the stage for a no-nonsense protest tune. you can hear their influences throughout this track, ranging from punk to folk – and it’s a real singalong anthem, proving their lyrical capabilities and musical expertise. it’s a real tune for the lefties this one!


Motel Sundown have just released their new single “Colours in the Rain” – a luscious country/americana tune from the Liverpool-based band. right from the get-go, there’s gorgeous guitar riffs, and the vocal sounds lovely, they both take centre-stage and command the listener’s attention immediately – telling a story with both the lyrics and the riffs. you can really hear the musicianship in this track from the band, coming together to create a gorgeous tune that you’ll definitely have on repeat.


we’ve known Pomona for a good while now, and they’ve just released their new EP “Nothing at All“! we’ve been big fans of their previous tunes and this EP sounds mega, they’ve got a real no-nonsense attitude behind their music and a proper unique sound. with driving rhythm, powerful guitar melodies and a real commanding vocal, they’re definitely ones to keep an eye on for the future!


we’ve know Luna Marble for years now, and we love their tunes – they’ve just released this new single “‘Crazy Loving“! it’s got their usual signature sound, with such attention to detail and huge anthemic atmosphere, with Maria’s incredible vocal taking centre-stage, backed with expert musical ability, they’re able to convey so much within their songs both lyrically and musically. there’s always a real groove to their tunes, and this one is yet another incredible track in their repertoire!


Dee Rae has just released the new EP “The Worst Is Over“! right from the get-go, it sounds unreal, a gorgeous intimate atmosphere, highlighting their lyrical quality and ability to tell a story through the words – and the instrumentation compliments this superbly. with luscious soundscapes behind the tracks, with a lovely americana touch, gorgeous violin patterns and guitar melodies, and grounding bass and drumwork, it’s a fantastic listen and well worth checking out!


Liverpool-based Brides have just dropped their new EP “Leche“! the midwest/emo outfit have been making a name for themselves across the North West for a while now, and with tunes as great as these it’s not hard to see why – their tunes have a real driving and powerful energy to them, maintaining both intimacy and ferocity, balancing the dynamic expertly whilst writing tunes with raw, passionate and relatable lyricism – a fantastic EP!


it’s been yet another fantastic month, with so many amazing songs coming out; plus, so many that we didn’t cover – thanks to everyone who has checked this out, and we hope you enjoyed it! ๐Ÿค˜

this EP sounds fantastic, it’s got an incredible atmosphere flowing throughout each of the tracks, and with catchy, singalong hooks, expert songwriting and gorgeous guitar melodies and patterns ever-present in their music, they’ve crafted a lovely EP that sets themselves apart as a must-listen for any fans of alternative / mid-western inspired music. their music feels personal, and intimate, yet at the same time, have a real dynamic throughout, ranging from folky intricacy to driving grungey riffs – a brilliant listen! ๐ŸŽถ

over the past few months, they’ve been making waves on the Manchester music scene, having performed a load across the city, and releasing a run of fantastic singles prior to the release of this EP ๐ŸŽถ

the EP sounds fantastic, with a real mesh of influences in there, ranging from shoegaze to grunge to alternative rock – each of the tunes are great and there’s plenty of singalong choruses, anthemic sounds and luscious guitar riffs throughout, backed with a driving and tight rhythm section that create the perfect foundation for each of the tracks. there’s a real attitude and feeling to each of the tunes, each with their own identity yet maintaining a real connection throughout the full EP. it’s a great listen ๐Ÿค

Just The Crust 13/10/25: Natalie Holmes – Alone Time ๐ŸŽถ

our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single “Alone Time” from Natalie Holmes! ๐ŸŽต

the final single from her upcoming album out next week, it sounds fantastic – we reviewed her previous single “To Be A Woman” and her songwriting talent is incredible, we love her ability to convey such complex emotions and feelings through real and down-to-earth lyricism โœ๏ธ

this single sounds so lovely, with a gorgeous synth-pop element to it, it flows superbly and effortlessly, and creates a great lo-fi atmosphere that matches the tone of the lyricism expertly, allowing the listener to really connect with the story, it’s a really honest and personal track that sounds incredible. ๐Ÿค we can’t wait to hear the full album!
