our feature for today’s Just The Crust is the brand new single from our very own Olivia Browse “Nevermind Valentine / Cliché”!
we absolutely love this double single, it really expands on Olivia’s genre-defying talent, going from britpop to grunge to hyperpop and still maintaining her signature style and sound – it’s full of energy and a real lovely valentine’s gift to us all
“Nevermind Valentine” is chock-full of distortion, walls of guitars reminiscent of 90’s grunge backed with electronic drums that really drive the track with their almost-industrial sound, and yet another lovely catchy chorus as we’re used to now from Liv – plus, real personal and relatable lyricism that really put the listeners in Olivia’s mindset, it’s yet another fantastic release from her which we’re so proud of to have here on the label
the b-side “Cliché” is one she wrote about her partner, a real lovely testament to their relationship and such heartfelt lyrics throughout – yet another super lush chorus and with that crunchy guitar melody it sounds like it could be straight out of the 90’s alternative scene! 
plus the vocal harmonies throughout are so lovely and really give the track so much space to breathe, a real banger for you all to listen to. 
a big shout to Shtum on the production, super work – and thanks to Zeth Hex for helping out too! every release just gets better and better.

never one to be constricted by genres, Olivia’s really taken a new direction with this tune, almost grungey throughout with elements of pop, indie and her usual britpop-stylings to really create something unique for this it’s brilliant to see and we’re absolutely STOKED to have this as our TWENTY-FIFTH release on the label! only feels like yesterday when we had our first one. we’ve come so far, big love to all our artists

super stoked to see that our very own Olivia Browse has just hit 4,000 streams on “Calendar Girl” over on Spotify! 
it’s mad to think this has only been out for 5 months too, five months today in actuality – we’re so happy to have this out on the label, it’s a fantastic tune and really shows off Liv’s diverse musical style plus the music video is class too (available on YouTube, thanks to Matchbox Productions!) it also features the amazing Szou who does an unreal verse on the track. we love to see it!

oh we had a fantastic time on Saturday for our first gig over at the Grafton Arms!
a big thank you to our artists Tay Temple Olivia Browse Nina Ettridge and Laura Farrow for performing for us, each of them smashed it and played brilliant sets so great to see an audience supporting original live music too, what a top one! also a big shout to Max for taking such boss photos of everyone, so made up!
we’ll be back next month with yet another gig, watch this space for not only this songwriter gig but more things to come.. got lots planned, collaborative gigs, band stuff – it’s all coming up!
