Cream of the Crop: THE RETURN! is A WEEK ON SATURDAY! we can not wait for our return to gigs – the open mics have been really fantastic as of late and we can not wait to see how these gigs turn out!

we will have the fantastic Scatterchild performing for us – we’ve covered their music a few times in the past and we’re really looking forward to their set! they’re a indie rock band with such a strong discography out, ranging from full on bangers to more serene and calming tunes (i.e. their last song, “No Sense To End”!)

set up by the O’Neill Bros who are fantastic musicians in their own right, they wanted to create a community of artists that supported each other and collaborated on brilliant projects and put out plenty of amazing videos last year on their YouTube, including one from our very own michael webster 🪐

next week they are releasing a brand new video, a cover of the Foo Fighters’ “My Hero” in celebration of the frontliners during the pandemic with SIXTEEN artists performing from four countries across the world! Including collaboration from the likes of Rob Crampton Music, CapitanSam and plenty of other fantastic musicians on the Manchester scene and beyond! SO made up to be able to announce our first gig back at The Thirsty Scholar. you guys made our mid-lockdown ones last year so great, having to turn people away cause we ran out of seating space, and just a blooming lovely vibe in that whole chaotic year!

on the Saturday 7th August we’ll be returning with a stellar lineup, including Minervadaisy (with full band!) Scatterchild Harrison Rimmer Dr Fabola and our very own Olivia Browse and michael webster! this is shaping up to be one of our best gigs yet. can’t wait for it!
