A familiar face for us here in Manchester, Tommy Cei has just released his debut single “I Roam“! We’ve heard this track live a bunch and this studio recording really encapsulates that live feel it has to it, the power and raw emotion that he channels into the tune. It’s real proof of his songwriting talent, his ability to convey emotion through his lyrics and create a catchy track – well worth a listen!


we had The Marras perform for us back last year at the Eagle Inn and we were blown away by their talent – their ability to write an energetic, driving track that has real lyrical depth and gorgeous melodies throughout, and this new single “Echoes” is proper evidence of that! it’s got a real groove behind it, luscious guitar tones and powerful vocals – it’s another fantastic tune under their belt.


we’ve covered Foxglove a bunch before, and we love their dream-pop sound – their new EP “Night Drive” only proves this even further! it’s got a gorgeous, sparkly sound to it, with lovely vocal melodies, soaring guitar tones and a formidable, powerful foundation of rhythm that really creates a huge soundscape for each of the tracks. well worth checking out – our favourite from the EP is “Busy Beach“, such a groove behind it!


we’ve got Beth Jackson performing for us at our next The Monthly Spread show, and we can’t wait – this new single “Weatherman” is absolutely fantastic. with down-to-earth, tongue-in-cheek lyricism there’s a real sense of relatability to the songwriting, it’s got a folk-punky feel to the track, and the instrumentation on the track gives it a real groove and flow to it all. such a great tune!


another familiar face on the Manchester scene, Jimmy Page XI has returned with his new single “Bringing Me Back“! it opens with a lovely acoustic guitar progression, and the drop into the full band is exquisite. with introspective lyricism, his songwriting here is great – and the instrumentation behind him really compliments his songwriting style. it’s a great track and we can’t wait to hear even more!


Manchester-based alternative-rock outfit Boxfires released their new single “Twelve Long Years“! it’s thrashy, energetic and punky – there’s a proper drive behind the track that gives it that heavy ferocity. the vocals command the listener’s attention, matched by the drive of the rhythm pushing the track along, and it’s got a proper lovely guitar solo that tops it all off nicely.


Manchester/London-based songwriter Liv Cartier has just put out the new single “i don’t want you i just can’t be alone” – following the release of her previous two tracks in 2025. it’s got a dreamy atmosphere to it, almost moody in the verses but expertly contrasting in the choruses to really show that dynamic, which expertly compliments her vocal talent here, and her raw and personal lyricism really paints a story, proving her as one to watch for the future!


a real favourite of ours here in Manchester, Run Remedy just put out a live rendition of “Tribulation” with Big Society! her ability to create a gorgeous track is unmatched, there’s always a real sense of purpose and commitment to creativity within her music. the atmosphere of the track is superb, such a dreamy track, which perfectly balances to and compliments her vocals, and her ability to convey a story through songwriting is second to none.

we’ve wrote up some reviews of some of our favourite releases of November, and it’s been yet another fantastic month of music on the scene – you can check out all of our reviews below ⬇️


Leeds based country-folk musician Robin Cooper has returned with his new single “Whiskey Into Wine“! we’ve covered his music a bunch in the past, and his lyrical capabilities seem effortless, his ability to convey a story through his songwriting is excellent and this track is real proof of that ability. chock-full of lovely melodies, there’s a luscious mix of instrumentation that really provide a great backdrop for the track. well worth a listen!


a familiar face for us, VALA have just released their new EP “Can I kiss you on the lips“! we love their laidback, indie-folk sound and this EP sounds even better than we imagined. with gorgeous vocal melodies, intimate yet dynamic feel to each of the tracks, and a great feel-good atmosphere to it, it’s a fantastic listen – you can tell that these guys had a blast making these tunes and it comes across in their tunes.


we’ve known Carl North for a good while now, having been on the Manchester scene a few years ago, and he’s back with a new single “Blame” – his vocal ability is on full display right from the get-go on this track, and his storytelling is second to none. the track’s got a gorgeous flow to it, a real americana/70’s rock sound to it, and it compliments his songwriting style superbly. another fantastic track under his belt!


another familiar face for us, Luna Marble have just put out their self-titled debut album “Luna Marble“! we’re huge fans of these guys, with music that’s sonically massive, with nasty guitar riffs throughout, powerful vocals and driving rhythm – you can really sense such a level of atmosphere within every single track. they’re able to create a fantastic groove within their music, and it’s a real testament to their musicianship and dedication to their craft. such a great listen!


Manchester-based songwriter Doad has just put out his third album “Songs From Stanley Road“! we love his folky rock sound, with such a character to his music, a real warmth within his songwriting that really invites the listener in, feeling almost like a conversation. this album is a brilliant listen, with expertly written tracks, with lovely instrumentation and production that really compliments his writing. well worth checking out!


we had Doghouse perform for us a few times this year, and we’re huge fans of his intimate and raw sound – he’s just put out his new single “Phantom Song & The Kid“! his ability to paint a picture with his lyrics is excellent, and these two songs are incredible. his fingerpicking sound entwined with his delicate, yet fierce lyrics really ensure you’re locked onto every word, and the production on these is fantastic – maintaining that personal connection but elevating the tracks in a quality yet intricate manner.


we’ve been huge fans of FEAR OF MARKO for a good while now, having covered a bunch of the previous singles, and he’s back with a brand new EP “Violent Delights“! it sounds incredible, with his signature heavy/electronic sound throughout, fierce and powerful vocal, and ability to really create a tune that’s not only lyrically adept, but catchy and unique – with incredible production throughout, the EP is a fantastic listen!


we had Lonely Mountain perform for us earlier this year, and we were blown away by their musical talent – and this new single “Whale Song” is a real indication of what they’ve got to offer! a gorgeous guitar riff forms the base of the track, and with soaring vocals, lovely instrumentation, there’s a fantastic atmosphere to the track, feeling super intimate yet also moves into a feel-good upbeat groove, a proper dynamic to the track. well worth checking out!

Liverpool’s Abi Rose Kelly returns with a new single “GOOD THINGS CAN STILL…“! Another riffy, huge anthemic tune under her belt – it’s got a lovely guitar run throughout it, and with driving and massive rhythm forming the foundation of the track, it sounds class. Abi’s vocal takes centre-stage and ensures the listener is focused on her every word; it’s a brilliant listen and a fine single to return with after a couple of years.


Derbyshire indie-rock five-piece Marseille have just dropped their new single “Fever“! we’ve covered their music before, and we’re huge fans of their shoegazy-indie sound. this new tune sounds mega, it’s got a gorgeous atmosphere surrounding it, and such a driving energy behind the track – with anthemic, singalong melodies and gorgeous textural elements, it’s a class listen!


Liverpool-based Naomi Campbell has just released her new track “Naturally“! we loved her previous tunes, with a real soulful element to the tracks and this one is no different. it’s got a luscious guitar melody forming the base of the track, which compliments her ethereal vocal expertly – and full of gorgeous vocal harmonies that really elevate the soundscape of the track! it’s definitely worth a listen for any fans of folkier, acoustic music.


we covered a bunch of The Empire Police’s new singles, and they’ve just dropped their new EP “Strange New Places“! it’s a brilliant listen, full of anthemic singalong tunes, and you can really hear the range of inspiration within their music, yet they’ve managed to create something really unique to themselves, and really expanded on their signature sound over the years. with driving guitar riffs, huge rhythm and explosive vocals – we’re huge fans of this one.


Plastic Plant have just released their new EP “Radiodonta“! it’s a lovely listen, ranging from the psychedelic atmosphere of “Mantis Shrimp“, to the electro-indie elements of “Green is the Colour“, there’s a real sense of variety throughout the EP, and they utilise their guitar tones, expert musicianship and use of dynamic within their music to really create engaging, visual tracks – it’s a great listen start to finish!


a familiar face for us on the scene, Harriet Dagnall has just released her new single “Clinging To The Sides“! we’re huge fans of her lofi-esque, indie-folk sound – and this tune really portrays that sound so well. it’s got a lovely flow to it, with the rhythm forming a powerful foundation to the track, giving plenty of space for the guitars and vocals to soar above, feeling ethereal and dream-like – it’s a gorgeous track!


Indie-rock heavyweights The Rolling People have just put out their new single “In The Distance”! they’ve been making waves on the scene with every release, and this new track is real evidence of their talent. it’s got a fantastic sense of dynamic to it, with driving and explosive choruses, and atmospheric verses – their ability to write a catchy yet lyrically expert tune is second to none, and with a gorgeous guitar solo, it’s definitely worth checking out.


an old Manchester face for us, Lea Willms has just put out her new single “Home“! with a gorgeous, laid-back groove to the track, the drums and bass give a lovely foundation to the track, allowing Lea’s vocal to take command and ensure that her visual and expert storytelling is on full display. her honest, raw and personal lyricism is lovely to listen to, and she’s able to paint a real picture with her songs – a fantastic tune!

Funeralcare have just put out their new single “Parking“! it’s got a lovely darkwave atmosphere behind it right from the get-go, but with an incredible groove behind it, with the drums and bass providing a fantastic backdrop to the track – and the vocal takes centre stage, almost droney over the instrumentation, yet with a fantastic use of melody and lyricism to craft a gorgeous soundscape. it’s a fantastic listen!


we’ve been fans of The Cutter for a while now and they’ve just put out their self-titled EP! we’ve heard a few of these tunes before, and we love the effort they put in to create a gorgeous soundscape in their music. they’ve got a real sense of identity, and they’re able to paint a picture with not only their lyricism but with the instrumentation, utilising both to create intricately-crafted tunes that will get anyone moving about!


Will Walton just dropped their new single “natural ecosystems” – opens up with a real driving rhythm, setting the stage for a no-nonsense protest tune. you can hear their influences throughout this track, ranging from punk to folk – and it’s a real singalong anthem, proving their lyrical capabilities and musical expertise. it’s a real tune for the lefties this one!


Motel Sundown have just released their new single “Colours in the Rain” – a luscious country/americana tune from the Liverpool-based band. right from the get-go, there’s gorgeous guitar riffs, and the vocal sounds lovely, they both take centre-stage and command the listener’s attention immediately – telling a story with both the lyrics and the riffs. you can really hear the musicianship in this track from the band, coming together to create a gorgeous tune that you’ll definitely have on repeat.


we’ve known Pomona for a good while now, and they’ve just released their new EP “Nothing at All“! we’ve been big fans of their previous tunes and this EP sounds mega, they’ve got a real no-nonsense attitude behind their music and a proper unique sound. with driving rhythm, powerful guitar melodies and a real commanding vocal, they’re definitely ones to keep an eye on for the future!


we’ve know Luna Marble for years now, and we love their tunes – they’ve just released this new single “‘Crazy Loving“! it’s got their usual signature sound, with such attention to detail and huge anthemic atmosphere, with Maria’s incredible vocal taking centre-stage, backed with expert musical ability, they’re able to convey so much within their songs both lyrically and musically. there’s always a real groove to their tunes, and this one is yet another incredible track in their repertoire!


Dee Rae has just released the new EP “The Worst Is Over“! right from the get-go, it sounds unreal, a gorgeous intimate atmosphere, highlighting their lyrical quality and ability to tell a story through the words – and the instrumentation compliments this superbly. with luscious soundscapes behind the tracks, with a lovely americana touch, gorgeous violin patterns and guitar melodies, and grounding bass and drumwork, it’s a fantastic listen and well worth checking out!


Liverpool-based Brides have just dropped their new EP “Leche“! the midwest/emo outfit have been making a name for themselves across the North West for a while now, and with tunes as great as these it’s not hard to see why – their tunes have a real driving and powerful energy to them, maintaining both intimacy and ferocity, balancing the dynamic expertly whilst writing tunes with raw, passionate and relatable lyricism – a fantastic EP!
