The Northern Rambler

The Northern Rambler is a singer/songwriter based in Manchester, with a wide range of influences including Simon and Garfunkel, Joan Baez, Manic Street Preachers, Joy Division, Oscar Wilde, Sylvia Plath and classic episodes of Coronation Street.

His unique blend of folk and indie rock has won him a steady fan base in his hometown and has seen him given support slots for the likes of Aziz Ibrahim (Ex Stone Roses/Simply Red), Tom Hingley (Ex Inspiral Carpets) and Mark Morriss (The Bluetones) to name a few.

We worked with him on his debut album ‘Dare Not Speak’, released in 2017 through the label, and it was celebrated as the 15th highest rated album of 2017 on GIGsoup!

The Northern Rambler is now in exile from his folk career – however, he has maneuvered his way over to being the frontman for ska-indie outfit Sleeping Ducks.
